    Effect of fuzzy partitioning in Crohn's disease classification: a neuro-fuzzy-based approach

    Crohn's disease (CD) diagnosis is a tremendouslyserious health problem due to its ultimately effecton the gastrointestinal tract that leads to the need of complexmedical assistance. In this study, the backpropagationneural network fuzzy classifier and a neuro-fuzzy modelare combined for diagnosing the CD. Factor analysis isused for data dimension reduction. The effect on the systemperformance has been investigated when using fuzzypartitioning and dimension reduction. Additionally, furthercomparison is done between the different levels of thefuzzy partition to reach the optimal performance accuracylevel. The performance evaluation of the proposed systemis estimated using the classification accuracy and othermetrics. The experimental results revealed that the classificationwith level-8 partitioning provides a classificationaccuracy of 97.67 %, with a sensitivity and specificity of96.07 and 100 %, respectively

In this quest, there have been elaborated many meta-analyses that gather relevant findings in order to create a conceptual framework of understanding human behaviour and affect. This paper presents arguments for sustaining the curvilinear relationships hypothesis that occur between variables (job satisfaction, job performance, age) in an organizational context research.     ONLINE AGGRESSION TENDENCIES AND COGNITIVE EMPATHY TOWARDS THE VICTIM OF CYBERBULLYING IN ADOLESCENTS

    Empathy is an adaptive phenomenon in the act of inter-human communication, allowing a certain way of entering the psychology of the other as a means of elaborating own behaviour pattern. Through empathy, we have the opportunity to better understand the other, to intuitively sense alterity’s thoughts and affections, to anticipate behaviour and even to act accordingly. In real, as in online environments, there are always two sides of this story, the best part is when the communication intention is good and the worst part is when manipulation interferes and the empathy serves to better understand victim’s weaknesses to better use it against them. Our research team has developed the project Keeping youth safe from Cyberbullying, ID 2016-3-TR01-KA205-036619 aiming to deeper understand the dynamics of different cyberbullying aspects in online environments among youth, by creating an online questionnaire assessing core concepts and perceptions about cyberbullying motives and effects. Our focus is in analysing the effects of aggression tendencies on victim cognitive empathy in cyberbullying incidents, in 140 high school students. This research’s conclusion brings an answer to the question of just how much empathy is needed for understanding cyberbullying victim’s feelings and activating a prosocial behaviour instead of turning it into a cruel act of psychological dominance all over the online pavement

International Edu World Conference (Edu World) Kongresi‘nde bildiri olarak sunulmuştur.Career counseling has emerged as a way to respond to social pressures imposed on the implications of this phenomenon in the ever-changing relationship between jobs supply and demand, raising the quality of requested skills as well as efficiency, in a client commitment manner. Career counseling theoretic literature abounds in models and strategies that when put into practice simply do not work, not because they are wrong, but because client's expectations and beliefs are so different. The main focus of this paper is to analyze youth perception on career counseling activities, for a better understanding of what triggers them to be fully active into the process. The purpose of current paper is to identify the relationship between perceived employment barriers and perceived employment support of 432 last year students and young graduates from 4 European countries. The curvilinear relationship identified, shows that very high and low scores on perceived employment barriers significantly influences the outcome of the career counseling process, while medium scores on perceived employment barriers, gives youth incentives for authentic receiving of career counseling services, mostly in terms of employment support. Conclusions and practical implications are discussed

    Measurement of glomerulus diameter and Bowman's space width of renal albino rats

    Glomerulus diameter and Bowman's space width in renal microscopic images indicate various diseases. Therefore, the detection of the renal corpuscle and related objects is a key step in histopathological evaluation of renal microscopic images. However, the task of automatic glomeruli detection is challenging due to their wide intensity variation, besides the inconsistency in terms of shape and size of the glomeruli in the renal corpuscle. Here, a novel solution is proposed which includes the Particles Analyzer technique based on median filter for morphological image processing to detect the renal corpuscle objects. Afterwards, the glomerulus diameter and Bowman's space width are measured. The solution was tested with a dataset of 21 rats' renal corpuscle images acquired using light microscope. The experimental results proved that the proposed solution can detect the renal corpuscle and its objects efficiently. As well as, the proposed solution has the ability to manage any input images assuring its robustness to the deformations of the glomeruli even with the glomerular hypertrophy cases. Also, the results reported significant difference between the control and affected (due to ingested additional daily dose (14.6mg) of fructose) groups in terms of glomerulus diameter (97.40 ± 19.02m and 177.03 ± 54.48m, respectively)
